Jersey Dinner

While I was attending the wedding Amy's, best friend Sue who came with us to NJ and my sister Mary Ellen who lives in Leonardo NJ were having a shopping contest. We did all get together for dinner on Saturday evening for some Jersey seafood.

High School Reunion
After I returned from the wedding Saturday night I was on the high school reunion trail and arranged to have dinner with my long time Hoboken grade school friend
Mari (Mahoney) Rassano and her husband Michael. You can always spot the photographer in a photo with the stupid look on his face.

Jersey
This was an exciting busy weekend in my home state of New Jersey. I photographed a wedding for the Andrews family from Tarboro on the campus of Princeton University.Growing up in New Jersey I never ventured over to that part of the state before. What a beautiful campus. I had so many greet places to photograph and not enough time. After covering the Friday party I had a chance to visit with my best high school friend Frank Pepe.

The Vest

Have you ever seen the Saturday Night Live episode when Chris Farley puts on David Spades jacket and sings his little song “ big man in a little coat” he then rips through the fabric. That is one of my favorites ones. I was going through some old storage bags as we are remodeling the house right now ( which is another story itself) and found a vest from a suit I wore when I first came to NC. I met Amy in New Jersey in July of 1976 and came down to visit a month later in August. I was trying to impress her by showing off my three-piece suit but wool is not a good thing to wear on a hot North Carolina day. I did look cool even though I was sweating my butt off. It was for the cause. I want to think Amy married me for more than my three-piece suit.
When I first found the vest we had a great laugh as I tried to make the buttons come together.

The Gang,

We had some fun today with the Asbell gang when we were doing little sister's one year portrait. Everybody got together for a floor pose and a bunch of hugs.Watching many of the children and families grow up is the most enjoyable part of our work.
We are still offering our Mother's Day special through May 1 st. A full portrait session and a 4x5 color portrait.
