The Beach
We are ready for our beach portrait week starting this Saturday on the Crystal Coast. We will be arranging other beach portrait times throughout the summer if you are interested. This past Sunday we had fun photographing the Woolard family at Ft Macon.
You have to be careful when you have the perfect pose and you want one more image, you say"just hung your brother a little". That is what adds to the fun on a beach portrait.

The Dock
Here is a sample pose from our new dock behind the studio. I have to get the water look below the dock just right but its coming along. This will make a great setting for little person sitting with an old fashion fishing pole. I hope to finish the set just in time for our senior portraits.

The Family Beach Portrait

Thursday afternoon Amy & I left Tarboro early for a beach appointment in Emerald Isle. It does get harder and harder to come home after being there for awhile during these beach sessions. The weather was just beautiful. I need to break out the hot dog wagon and be a beach vendor as my new career. It's tempting.
Here is a hight light from the session. We were finishing up some family poses the girls were kicking it around and giving each other a hard time. This is the real portrait image the parents see all the time. Capturing real moments is the fun part of every family portrait session.

Charleston, SC
I was in Charleston South Carolina this weekend doing the wedding photos for John & Jessica Kent. They had the wedding service on the grounds of the beautiful Middleton Plantation and the reception was downtown Charleston. These images were taken on the Battery right before we arrived to the reception. Charleston is a special place for the couple is why they selected it for their wedding. While there I had a chance to visit Hilliary and Francois since they live only a few miles outside of town.

Let's Go To The Beach

This past Friday was one of my first beach portraits of the season and everything was perfect. It was a beautiful weekend and of course a hot one. I was glad to be on the coast during this heat wave and enjoying the ocean air. The worst thing about a beach portrait is finishing with a warm sandy kiss from mom.

Just having fun.

Laney Weller was having a great time during yesterday's portrait session. We are now offering a Mommy & Me free session month at the studio in June so give us a call for more info.
The beach is calling. What a great way to beat the heat while creating a beach portrait. I am going to post a sample of each session on the blog this year so you can see all the results.Stay tunned.

Baseball

I had a chance to play with a new toy the other day (of course my new camera).I never get the chance to shoot sports but I was excited to see how clear of a shot I got from the other side of the field.I was in the third base dugout.
I was finishing up a session for the towns website and captured the pitcher trying to pick off the runner at first while Chase Johnson is watching the ball enter his clove.I am going to enjoy my new toy.
