THE EXPO
This Thursday we will be set up in Greenville, NC at the convention center for the Chamber Business Expo. We will be there from 9:am till 7:pm so if you are in the area stop by. The Expo will have over 100 different vendor booths and we will be offering a drawing for a $250 gift certificate. An added bonus!! ( ok Chris I know you will be in on this one) I am giving away a $25 gift certificate to anyone that says "I saw your blog" when they come up to me at the Expo. Senior Layout
This past January we had a chance to attend a national photography convention in Tampa FL. Our heads are still spinning from all the new ideas in the photography world. My sister lives in Orlando so she picked us up at the airport to spend some time together for our first day in the sunshine state.It was a real Florida day,sunny and warm.
My nephew Jared came along and he is a senior this year so we walked around the hotel for a couple of hours doing some senior portraits. It was fun working in a new area. We captured some beautiful images. This layout is a sample of what we will be offering for our local seniors this spring.

The Portrait

when your not trying to get someone to smile and just letting them relax you get the most special moments. In the film days they called this the 13th exposure because after the last shot on the roll of 12 while you were changing film the subject would give you a natural relaxed look.So many great images were lost while changing film.

Today I had the chance to work with a very special mom and daughter. I could tell they had a very close bond together. While moving my lights for the next images I asked them to relax for a moment and there was the image I wanted.I was lucking to get back to the camera just in time. I think it was one of the best images of the session because It tells a real story of how they feel about each other.It's moments like these that make this job so worth it.

ICE CREAM WINNER

After our first official newsletter the contest winner of a $25 gift card to Cold Stone is Jill Gerardo of Greenville, NC.I received some wonderful results from our first email newsletter and our give away. We hope to have a lot of fun with our future newsletters by giving away some cool stuff.

St Patrick's Day
Every year in Emerald Isle NC the Island puts on the green and celebrates St Patrick's Day with a mini State Fair. Last year I missed the leprechaun day because I was working at a wedding in Rocky Mount. The day was beautiful, sunny and 65 degrees. The funnel cake was hot and it doesn’t get any better. What a way to start off the spring season.
Hilliary and Francois came up from Charleston to spend the weekend so Cooper had a chance to hang out with his buddies Howard and The Worm.

Francois was trying to sample my funnel cake while Amy enjoyed the pottery booths. This was our first full weekend on the coast since November

Peep Show

I had a friend from New Jersey send me a photo he captured from a local
"Peep Show". He knows my love of Peeps during Easter.

Asheville NC

Last night I had a chance to do a wedding in Asheville.This is Elizabeth and Blair Biser.
You would never guess the winds is blowing very strong and it is a cold 29. We came in for a warm up a couple of times,but they hung in there. Elizabeth and Blair were awesome to work with and were willing to almost anything for a great image.I am looking forward to posting the images to the website by tomorrow.

EASTER Special

The Easter Special is going full force now. Brody Hoke of Tarboro was our first rabbit boy this morning.Last night was a wild one so I hope we can make it through Wednesday.
